It began with the success of one woman.
BlueMan Hair Studio owner and technical director, Hillary Wallace, made a commitment to helping men look and feel better when she signed on to work as a national educator for men's product trail blazer, American Crew.
Already a successful salon owner, she, with the help of a very understanding staff and client base, traveled extensively for American Crew, teaching industry professionals the techniques and practices of attending to men. Often neglected and often misunderstood, the male client is an afterthought for most salons. A happy filler between higher ticketed female clients.
At her first salon, Indigo The Salon, male clients were treated as equals. Indigo's entire staff -- hair stylists and designers, nail technicians, skin care and massage service providers, grew accustomed and very adept in caring for a burgeoning male clientele. Soon, a reputation for producing strong "menswork" was built. It was time for men, both blue collar and white collar, to have their own place.
A place to focus on...image. style. success. It was time for BlueMan.
